Make Cedar Hollow your church home
There's no class to pass and no deadline. Tell us a little about where you are, and Pastor David will reach out to talk it over, at your pace.
In plain words
Three ways to join an Adventist church
Every Seventh-day Adventist church uses the same three. You don't need to know which one is yours before you write.
By baptism
For anyone who hasn't yet been baptized by immersion. First, Pastor David or one of the elders studies the Bible with you, as slowly as you like, so you know what Adventists believe and why. When you're ready, you're baptized by immersion, the way Jesus was, usually during Sabbath worship with your family and friends there.
By profession of faith
For Christians who were already baptized by immersion in another church, and for former Adventists whose old membership record can't be found. You talk it over with Pastor David, tell the church you share what Adventists believe, and join without being baptized again.
By transfer
Already a member of another Seventh-day Adventist church? Tell us its name. Our clerk asks that church to send your membership here, and each church takes a short vote. It takes a little while, and you're welcome at everything in the meantime.
Not sure which fits? That's the most common answer. Pick “Not sure yet” in the form and Pastor David will help you work it out.
No pressure
Start the conversation
Sending this doesn't sign you up for anything. It just lets the pastor know you'd like to talk.
- Pastor David says hello. He'll find a time to talk, by phone, by email, or after church.
- You talk it through. For as long as you need. Ask anything.
- When you're ready, the church votes to welcome you as a member.
Thank you, friend.
Pastor David will reach out to say hello and find a time to talk. There's nothing to prepare.
Demo: nothing was sent. On a real site this goes to the pastor and the church clerk, with a backup copy kept for the church.
